The Minneapolis Institute of Arts has an impressive collection of ancient art (I’m sure they also have an impressive collection of non-ancient art but I was pressed for time). Also free admission and parking!

Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

The ancient galleries were closed (reopening in May?) but there were a few things on display:

Brooch with Medusa Cameo (3rd century CE)

Lucius Verus (Italian School, 16th or 17th century)

Lady (Palmyra, 3rd century CE)

Saint Thecla and the wild beasts (probably Egyptian, 5th century CE)

Jason & Golden Fleece (probably Egyptian, 4-5th century)

Priest of the God Bel (Palmyra, 3rd century CE)

Attic Lion (circa 325 BCE)
